iPhone only available in stores? Expect some long lines
June 9, 2008 |
I’ve been reading the coverage of the iPhone 3G, and as I was browsing the Apple site and reading the AT&T press release, I noticed that there was no mention of any online sales (but then, why am I surprised, I already predicted this yesterday…)
If AT&T is going to subsidize the phone, then they will want to cut down on jailbreakers – and the easiest and most low-tech way of doing this is by not letting you take an unactivated phone home in the first place.
Maybe it’s time to get in line already, because the activation of a phone tends to take 10 minutes or so. Lines moved fast when the first iPhone came out, but this time around, things might be a bit sluggish on July 11th…
