This week’s l33t Tech Podcast was a lot more humorous than the first episodes - but  I still hold out hope that our two Egyptian listeners will not unsubscribe.

imageThis week’s lineup: Mark “Rizzn” Hopkins as out moderator (except for those precious moments when his Skype account runs out of money…), Steven Hodson of WinExtra , Jason Kaneshiro of Webomatica, Art Lindsey from artlindsey.com, and myself.

This week’s guest was Sean P. Aune from Mashable.

Our other regulars MG Siegler and Louis Gray were out of commission this week

Some of the topics we discussed this time:

  1. Twitter’s personnel and uptime issues (we also got to talk about the college student who was arrested in Egypt and used Twitter to communicate with the outside world)
  2. Border Agents Can Search Laptops Without Cause, Appeals Court Rules (where we get to know more about Sean than we ever needed to know)
  3. Faster - Why Constant Stress is Part of Our Future (where we get to know more about Mark’s wardrobe than we ever wanted to know)
  4. Microsoft’s Mesh (good discussion about the current state of the consumer facing side of the service and what it can mean for the future of Microsoft, as well as the branding of Mesh within the Microsoft ecosystem)
  5. and, as usual, we briefly touch upon the state of the Yahoo/Miscrosoft deal

This wasn’t a great week for bitchmemes, but we still found two to cover this week:

  1. Video comments on TechCrunch and Seesmic in general
  2. Mike Arrington in general
