Some Blog Recommendations
With today being April Fool’s, it’s hard enough to separate the real news from the fake, so instead of writing about how boring most of the jokes this year are (except for PayPerTweet – that one was actually funny), I decided to highlight a few blogs that I have found lately and that I can recommend without reservations:
Alexander van Elsas: A Dutch marketing and Web 2.0 blogger who has been blogging since last September (as far as I can see). Any single one of his posts is going to make you think – whether you agree with him or no. He tends to write long-form, well-thought out essays more so than short blog entries, but your patience will be rewarded.
Corvida of SheGeeks: She must have popped up on my radar sometime during the last month or two through a recommendation from Louis Gray and if you want to keep up with the latest news about FriendFeed, Twitter, and anything else social media, I can only recommend you subscribe to her blog.
Norquist Blog: A Seattle based blogger who writes a quirky mix of personal musings about tech, life and Kinder chocolate. A good writer and definitely no a me-too blogger.
The Dieline: A blog that focuses on packaging. Doesn’t sound that interesting at first, but they feature some of the most beautiful product designs (here is their Kindle post) and do give you a nice perspective on what good design can look like – design pron at its best.
NeuNetz (= the New Net): Only for those of you who read German, but if you can, Marcel Weiss is going to give you a good overview of what is going on in the German and European Web 2.0 community.
Let me also give a plug to my friend Steven Hodson’s new project:
FriendFeedWatch: Everything FriendFeed, all the time: news, apps, greasemonkey scripts, etc. Definitely a blog for the FriendFeedFanatics out there.
