Announcing the The L33t Tech News Podcast - Pilot Episode
March 31, 2008 |
When MG Siegler invited me to join him and a couple of other tech bloggers in moderating the Elite Tech News Reddit (aka the l33t reddit), it seemed like a fun experiment and with almost 1600 subscribers now, it turned out to be pretty successful experiment as well.
With the reddit project under way, we decided to take it to another level (or at least medium) and started talking about doing a digg/TWiT style podcast around the top stories on the Elite Tech News Reddit and this weekend, we recorded the pilot episode.
The core group for the podcast consists of Mashable’s Mark ‘Rizzin’ Hopkins as moderator, MG Siegler from ParisLemon, Louis Gray from LouisGray.com, Steven Hodson from Winextra, Jason Kaneshiro from Webomatica (who also made the awesome logo!) and myself.
If all goes well, this is going to be a weekly podcast.
For this weekend’s pilot episode, Louis Gray and Steven Hodson couldn’t make it, but the rest of us had a great time discussing the top l33t reddit stories of the last week, as well as some other interesting stories such as the orgasmic MacBookPro unboxing video and the Friendfeed API.
If you want to subscribe to the show in iTunes, you can copy and paste the feed URL into iTunes manually (Advanced -> Subscribe to Podcast). We have submitted the podcast to the iTunes podcast directory and it should pop up there shortly.
