Looking through my referral logs, I noticed a weird spam site (no link, of course) and ended up on the first page shown below (click on the image for the full resolution picture).
Notice the “Why eHarmony” and “Diversity” links at the bottom.
Turns out the spammers copied and pasted the footer from eHarmony. Must have seemed easier than writing their own footer. After all, they had already copied the whole eHarmony layout for their add anyway.
The weird things is, I somewhat understand the mindset of the spammers - what confounds me is the mindset of the people who actually buy from these spam sites.
