Techmeme Leaderboard is now Live

The Techmeme Leaderboard is now live.

While there are a lot of non-blog sources on the list, they make up less than 20% of the total number. TechCrunch is the #1 blog, responsible for over 5.5% of all stories. 4% of all stories come from the New York Times.

Some of the blogs on the list, though, like Engadget and Ars Technica are not traditional blogs, but full-blown news operations.

Keeping that in mind, one aspect that jumped out at me was that there are actually very few single author blogs on the list. In the top 50, there is basically only Dave Winer, Nicholas Carr, Mary Jo Foley and Matthew Ingram.

Is this the beginning of the end of Technorati? To me, Technorati was irrelevant a long time ago, so this is just one more nail in the coffin.
