Clearly, the blogosphere has gone crazy after today’s Apple event. While I was down on Steve early on (I really don’t care for ringtones), I underestimated his showmanship. Lots of ‘next things’ this time around.
My final comments on the event:
IPhone Price Cut:
More than anything else, this will dominate the news today. I can’t blame anybody [...]

Apple dropped the 4GB version of the iPhone from its line-up. You can still buy one, though.  It’s a clearance item and going for $299 right now. Get them while they last (which won’t be long).
Technorati tags: iphone, 4gb

According to the Inquirer, AMD will launch its new low-voltage Barcelona processor in Bejing, Bangalore, Seoul, Taipei, Tokyo, San Francisco and, of course, Barcelona.
I don’t hear a lot of people at Intel being very nervous about this. Intel’s new 45nm Penryn processor (the Barcelona is still a 65nm chip) is just heading into full production for [...]

Foneshow, the Portland, Maine, based ‘podcasts-on-your-phone’ company just announced that it has closed a Series A round of VC funding. Here is the announcement:
After a year of bootstrapping, we’ve, closed a (slightly oversubscribed) series A round of venture funding. Our investors include CEI Community Ventures, Masthead Venture Partners, the Small Enterprise Growth Fund of Maine. [...]
