Free iPhone Unlock Available
September 12, 2007 |
We all knew it would just be a matter of time, but these guys from the iPhone Dev Team (they don’t want to be linked to, so this is a link to Engadget instead) have really outdone themselves by unlocking the iPhone in just 74 days.
Engadget is mirroring the app:
To pull this off you’ll need iUnlock + nor + the .fls file, which is available in ZIPs all over. We’ve got the app here, but this package doesn’t include all of the files necessary. Good list of links here, or try here, here, here, here, and here.
Now the question just is how long it will take Apple to patch this. Then, maybe Apple doesn’t care and doesn’t mind if you use T-Mobile. Maybe they just want to stick it to the man, too… Nahh - who am I kidding. Expect a patch tomorrow.
