iPhone Touch Wifi - What About Podcasting?

Those of us in the podcasting community must feel a little bit left out now that Apple is about to release a wifi version of the iPod and the iTunes store, yet there doesn’t seem to be a way to download podcasts onto the iPod Touch directly.
If this holds true once the final product arrives, then shame on Apple for clearly ignoring this side of its customer base. There doesn’t seem to be any technical reason for not doing this.
Oh well, maybe Apple will surprise us one more time…
