(Via DailyKos) A company Advantage Consultants (no link for them, but click on thumbnail on the left for details) is offering its services to political campaigns. They promise to help political campaigns y being proactive:

Contact us today and let us show you the Advantage (sic!) in professional blog warfare.
They are offering the services of “Professional Blog Warriors” and their ad has a soldier standing in a jeep with the word ‘BLOG’ on the front.
Oh joy. Now you can rent your trolls instead of having to do the dirty work for you. Kind of like political campaigns work anyway, so I guess this just takes things to a new level.
On the other hand, it shows the influence blogs are having on political campaigns today and the awareness of the politicians (or at least their staff) of it.
