iPhone 20 Minute Intro Video
June 22, 2007 |
Apple just published a 20min video giving an overview over the iPhone and its features. Just a shame that the guy narrating it has a somewhat annoying way of not moving his eyebrows and not trying to blink.
Some nice details:
Contact list doesn’t just have to be flicked up or down, there is an alphabet on the right side of the screen where you can fast-forward to any letter
There is a “.com” button on the keyboard
IMAP and POP confirmed
Email can display pdfs, jpgs, excel and doc files - seems to be read-only though.
“Trust the intelligence of the keyboard” - the video makes the keyboard look pretty useful
While there is no GPS - you can go “turn-by-turn” in the maps.
There is an “airplane mode” that turns off the network features.
“The iPhone comes with some great preloaded ringtones” (like Marimba and a phone sound…) - even though it seems like a no-brainer, it doesn’t look like one can just set an mp3 as a ringtone.
Update: Another overview of the new information can be found on Gizmodo.
