Microsoft is in Like with Yahoo

Microsoft might merge with Yahoo.

Now that is big news, and it dominates Techmeme today like only a revolt on Digg could.

I don’t really have much of an informed opinion about this yet, but my gut feeling is that a) it isn’t going to happen and b) I would prefer it not to happen. Putting two businesses together that can’t compete with Google isn’t going to create a business that can compete.
