For More Digg News

If you still can’t get enough of the Digg revolt over the HD-DVD code, Jason Calacanis has an interview with Jay Adelson and Electronic Frontier Foundation’s Fred von Lohmann.

Good listening.

Just one question: How come Jay Adelson is now doing all the PR work for Digg instead of Kevin Rose? He used to be the quiet guy in the background Has Digg decided to keep Rose in the background so that his image doesn’t get hurt by this?

One of the commenters on Calacanis’ blog had an interesting take on this, though I am not sure how much credence to lend to this:

The real story here is the conflict between Jay and Kevin and Kevin’s position at Digg going forward. The whole situation went down because Jay has been running Digg while Kevin has been off starting a new company and being a celebrity. The problem is that Jay is totally clueless when it comes to dealing with the community and had to call Kevin to bail him out. It looks like Jay is not happy with this as he is now for the first time taking Kevin’s position as the media face for Digg.
