Gawker Links
April 17, 2007 |
Am I the only one who hates the fact that every story on every Gawker blog (Gizmodo, Fleshbot, Defamer, Idolator, Jalopnik, Gridskipper, Wonkette, Kotaku, Screenhead, Lifehacker, Valleywag etc.) points to the category listing on that blog and not to a site outside of the Gawker universe? Thinking about it, Engadget is maybe the most self-referential blog out there. So AOL is also guilty of the same bad habit.
Seems like a great way of inflating your page views, but it is also a great way to frustrate your readers.
