Yahoo Mail Going to Unlimited Storage
Wow – I guess the days of webmail services differentiating themselves by the maximum size of their inboxes is over. Yahoo has announced that its mailboxes will become – well – infinite. According to Mike Arrington, Yahoo will pay a refund to those who paid $20 for premium accounts with what now seems like a measly 2GB of storage.
Now that isn’t going to make me switch from gmail over to Yahoo Mail – I love the gmail interface too much to do that, but it definitely puts some pressure on Google. It is Google we are talking about, though, and if there is any company that can handle huge inboxes, it must be Google.
Should be fun to watch how they react to this.
