PayPerPost: Why Do I Hate You So Much?
March 25, 2007 |
One word: deception. PayPerPost couldn’t work if it wasn’t for its users deceiving their audiences. If we suspend our disbelieve for a bit, maybe there is a parallel universe where readers don’t care if posts about labia reduction surgery, AutoCity101, Idaho real estate, Pay Day loans and work from home schemes are paid for.
PPP users will constantly say that they would have blogged about this stuff anyway - and I say: Bullshit. I don’t believe that for a second. I am sure people have better things to talk about than this stuff.
If you can’t get enough of the PPP saga, just watch Jason Calacanis’ interview Ted Murphy, the CEO of PPP. If you don’t have a lot of time, just watch the last ten minutes or so.

Some readers don’t mind. I actually did watch the video earlier in the evening, and while I found it extremely informative the last ten minutes was stupid and any points that either had made prior to that were lost in the idiocy.
Thanks for sharing this video. I actually watched the first 10 minutes before heading of to work. The best scene in the first 10 minutes were Ted Murphy claiming he did not care if he didnt know a blogger was paid 1,000.00 USD for a laptop review and didnt disclose… Hmmm But on the other hand what should he have answered? It was a really good question to ask. I am looking forward to watching more….
