Where is Steve Gillmor?

Looking through my feeds, I was happy to see Jason Calacanis bringing back the member of the Gillmor Gang, but then I read this:

Life hasn’t been the same since Steve Gillmor passed away suddenly last month, and we all had a great time remember the good old days. We miss ya buddy, and we’ll see you on the other side.

What has happened there? Is Jason talking about Steve, or the Gillmor Gang. I sure hope it’s the gang. Jason, Steve? Can you give us some update here? Losing Steve would mean losing one of the great characters of the IT world.

Others have noticed his absence as well, and his latest post is almost a month old now.

Update: Steve was sighted at CES - but I am curious anyway - what is Steve going to do next now that he is still alive…
