As everybody is writing either predictions or stories about predictions for or the 2007 MacWorld keynote tomorrow, I thought I would join the fun:

  • no iPhone - not this time - not before the end of the year
  • iTV is going to disappoint most pundits
  • won’t have hard-drive, but will do
  • everybody and their mother will complain that it is too expensive
  • updated MacMinis
    • about time
    • going to get the Core 2 Duo treatment
  • updated iLife software
    • but that’s a given - nothing spectacular, mostly on par with the Photo Booth announcement a year ago
  • new iPods?
    • maybe - just maybe
    • if there will be new iPods, they won’t have a touchscreen
    • why is a touchscreen iPod such a great idea anyway?
  • evolutionary updates to the laptop lines
  • use of Intel’s new QuadCore processors in MacPro’s
    • they became available today, so Apple should make use of it soon
  • there will be one suprise - something none of us expect
    • why? the last few keynotes have been pretty dull - his Steveness needs to dazzle the public
