Tech and Politics
December 30, 2006 |
Don Dodge and Todd Zeigler today write about Robert Scoble’s recent travels with now presidential candidate John Edwards. Here is what Don Dodge had to say:
The political world has already adopted blogs as a political tool. It will be interesting to see if 2007 will be the year that political blogs cross over to the technology crowd. TechMeme already has a political version of its tracker service. In fact, it is probably more accurate to say that the political blogs took over the original Memeorandum, and a separate TechMeme was created for us technology people.
I am not sure about the Memeorandum story - I always thought there were memeorandum and tech.memeorandum and that they were always two separate entities, but anyway, the real story here is Scoble and Edwards.I think tech bloggers have aways read the political blogs - hell - tech blogger have always been jealous of the political blogs because they attract way more attention, but why do we need a cross-over? The tech blogs do a good job covering tech and the political blogs do a good job covering politics. Keep-em separated.
Todd Zeigler says John Edwars is wooing Robert Scoble, but my question is why? Tech geeks don’t care what Scoble says about politics and political geeks don’t get their news from Scoble. To me, this is a waste of PedTech’s time and money.
