Digg Scams and Jason Calacanis

There is some interesting stuff happening on Jason Calacanis’ blog these days. He is offering $100 to anybody who can bring some proof that digg.com is being rigged by PR firms who try to get their clients’ content up on the front-page.
While one can argue about Calacanis’ method here, he is on to something. Services like digg are open (by design, I might add) to these kind of problems - however, as long as the majority of active users is vigilant and not in on the scam, the system should be self regulating - at least that’s my Gaia theory of digg.com.
