MTV has updated its website. It is so bad, it puts podshow.com to shame.

However, things have changed. Everything is Flash now. You also have to watch commercials. No, I am not kidding. I clicked on Top Stories and had to watch a Subway commercial. OMG - there are commercials on there now. I haven’t been to MTV’s site in quite a while, but it never had commercials before. When I tried to click on top stories, I had to watch a mini Subway commercial. That is so wrong.
It really is just bad - hard to navigate, slow to load, and any site that plays a video and sound has lost it in my view. Maybe kids today don’t care. Myspace plays songs without asking for permission.
The ads I could live with, at least they disappear without me interacting with them (at least the ones I saw). But the good thing is - I neither watch MTV nor use their website much
But I guess every generation gets the MTV it deserves…
