Amazon, Web 2.0 and BusinessWeek
November 3, 2006 |
Business Week features some interesting insights into Amazon’s Web 2.0 plays.
I think Amazon.com is on the right track. They know infastructure and the big money online is in infastructure and, even more importantly, it’s a pretty fail-safe business, as we will need more and more infastructure as time goes on and all these start-ups and YouTubes of the world need more and more computing power and bandwith..
With all these
initiatives, Amazon empowers new startups, which are hungry to knock
off Internet leaders that happen to be…Amazon competitors. Has Bezos
thought about how he may be creating an army of allies to fight his
rivals? His answer: “Absolutely!”
