Living in a Box: Box.net Gets Funded
My favorite online storage company Box.net announced a $1.5 million Series A funding round today. TechCrunch has the details on the deal.
I have regularly used they free 1GB plan for a long time now and I could not be happier. I mainly use it as offsite backup of Word documents and it works like a charm. The fact that they are nicely integrated into Netvibes is another plus. With giving 1GB a month away, though, I don’t think I will ever need to upgrade to a paid plan, which might not be quite what they had in mind – and with no advertising, monetizing this service might be a bit tough in the long run.
