Another Stupid Sony Move
October 12, 2006 |
Sony is working on a number of new mp3 players and a hard-drive based music appliance. From the International Business Times:
Sony, which has been tackling a turnaround for more than a year, has recently succeeded in boosting global market share in flat-panel TVs, where it had also fallen behind rivals.
To catch up in music players, Sony needs to appeal to people who don’t use personal computers to download and store music, marketing executive Kiyoshi Shikano said.
That guy needs to be fired quckly. Who exactly are these people that are going to download and store digital music without a personal computer? Are those the people who are going to buy a $1000 device so they can just store and download music? God Sony, get your act together - this is one of the dumbest things I have read today.
