Weekend Roundup
I was pretty much offline for the weekend, so here is quick roundup of what was happening:
- Microsoft Max launches – great showcase for .NET and WinFX, but complete rubbish as a newsreader.
- a guy on craigslist gets guys to send naked pictures of themselves – how is that news? we used to do this on dating sites all the time
- amazon.com launches a movie download service – everybody gets excited, because it means that hopefully Apple will release a movie service soon that doesn’t that doesn’t suck
- Cory Doctorow has discovered a conspiracy to outlaw podcasting, and gets the EFF to work on it – Dave Winer warns that the EFF is not trustworthy
- oh, and there was something going on with a 15 year old girl that was lonely, but I didn’t pay attention to that one – what teenager doesn’t feel lonely at times?
It was a fun weekend after all, but I was lucky enough to be swamped in grading my students’ papers. I did get a new keyboard, though – the Microsoft Natural Keyboard 4000. Typing on my laptop exclusively started to wear on my wrists. Now I have to get used to this ergonomic 
keyboard, with is starting to wear on my nerves… but hopefully I will get used to it soon.
