I'm not officially connected to vivapop but I know Elizabeth and I understand what she's trying to do. The product really isn't targetted to the typical techcrunch crowd. It's for folks who are tech and web savvy enough to understand the value but not the types who are likely to go out and pull something together themselves.

The key here is the ability to find all of your calendars - school, shopping, etc. - in one place without having to go to different sites to pull down the iCal files, etc.

As to how it will do in the market.. we'll see I suppose but I think Elizabeth is onto something.

Thanks for your comments on Vivapop...take a note that you can trial this for 30 days and more than synching and phone access, the calendar has content from every Greenwich based organization imagined so you can easily pop the info into your calendar...from schools, to stores, to restaurants and museums...you don't have to go beyond your personal calendar to search for your relevant info on and off the web...beta is Greenwich, CT but will spread nationwide before too long...take a further look!
