More Reactions to My Times
Slowly the first reviews of My Times are trickling in. You can find my take here.
PaidContent has a short review up now.
They also point to the sluggishness of the service. First thoughts: Smart idea to start in very limited fashion. It’s sluggish right now and still very much a work in progress. Once the logistics are settled, integrating My Times with TimesSelect would be valuable. It also will be interesting to see if they take this a step further and make non-journalists pages shareable. It’s not a customized home page, though — the NYT isn’t relinquishing the role of front-page editor to the user.
Dave Winer points out three more screenshots on flickr and adds:
Rafat Ali posted three screen shots of My Times Beta which appears to be yet another me-too clone of My.Netscape, 1999. It was a low leverage approach to news back then, and it hasn’t gotten any better in the last seven years.
