This doesn’t really fit in here, but I was reading up on the World Cup quarterfinal and came across Filip Bondy’s preview on MSNBC:

The problem for Portugal is its Pyrrhic victory over Holland in a vile and violent second-round match. Not only was it an emotionally wrenching win, Portugal will be without two red-carded midfielders, Deco and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Thing is, Portugal has always done without Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Hasn’t even been much of a problem for them - because he is Dutch.
