Perfect Mother, Perfect Wife - and then she killed…
March 24, 2006 |
Why is it that every time something like a wife murdering her husband happens, we get the same story from the neighbors, family members etc.? No, they were such a perfect family. She was such a great mother - he was such a great preacher… blah, blah, blah. Why even interview the neighbors, you already know what they are going to say. Let’s face it, in a few days we will learn that the great preacher used to rape little boys, the mother was a meth addict and alcoholic and didn’t know what she was doing.

‘Perfect mother, perfect wife’Selmer residents said they were shocked at the preacher’s death.
“Words cannot describe how we all feel about this,” said church member Pam Killingsworth, assistant principal at the elementary school where the two older children went to school. (Watch a stunned parishioner struggle to comprehend the killing — 7:38)
She described Mary Winkler as always seeming like “the perfect mother, the perfect wife,” with very loving children.
“Everybody is just totally shocked by what has happened.”
“The kids are just precious, and she was precious,” Killingsworth told The AP. “He was the one of the best ministers we’ve ever had — just super charisma.”

my theories ?
1. both, or one, of the spouses was engaged in an affair outside the marriage ?
2. he was a wife beater, unable to control his wife to completely conform to his religious beliefs ?
3. he was molesting his daughters ? mama discovered this ?
4. maybe a drug connection ?
It will come to pass that “Bloody” Mary Winkler was involved with a younger man and he convinced her to gun down the minister. I am certain that they will be making another arrest down along the Gulf Coast within the next few days.
I think the reason that the police have said they do not believe this was a case of infidelity is simply to protect the standing of the church and the community.
