Apple’s New Products But No Surprises

Apple announced the lng awaited Intel mini, some speakers for the iPod and – gasp! – a leather case for the iPod.
Good for them, but what this really makes me ask is, now, with all the knowledge that we had before this event, will there ever be a real “one more thing” moment? Today, [...]

Nobody Really Bothers to Attack Macs?

In a Wired article today, I saw the old reference to nobody attacking the Max because of its small market share:
The Mac has had no viruses to date, he said, primarily because of its small market share. It’s got a superior track record compared to Windows, but it’s not invulnerable; rather, no one has bothered [...]

Coffee to the People

The owners of this San Francisco coffee shop have a blog. Nothing spectacular, but if you are like me and like to spend some good blog-reading/blogging time in the coffee shops of this world, this should be a very interesting read. Next time I’m in San Francisco, I got to check this place out. I [...]

Google: Please Don’t F&$K Up GMail

I love GMail just like the next geek, but there are some hints that google might seriously mess up one of its best products. Garett Rogers has discovered that evite.com and an answering machine feature are in the works for gmail.

Consumer’s guide to buying and using energy-efficient appliances – Clothes Dryers – Section 06
Had an argument with my landlord today – she didn’t like the fact that I used the automatic setting on the laundry drier instead of the timed setting – I guess she didn’t understand what the settings were. So I am going [...]

Podshow Down

I just tried to check Yeastradio and the Geekbrief. They both time out. Pacific Coast Hellway and the DSC loads up just fine. Is it just me or are others experiencing the same? Podshow.com doesn’t work either.

German Organ to Play Song for 639 Years…

From the Discovery Channel:
Jan. 5, 2006 ? A new chord was scheduled to sound Thursday in the world’s slowest and longest lasting concert that is taking a total 639 years to perform.
The abandoned Buchardi church in Halberstadt, eastern Germany, is the venue for a mind-boggling 639-year-long performance of a piece of music by U.S. experimental [...]

TechCruch Now With Chat but Without Chatters

Mike Arrington has added 3bubbles chat to TechCrunch – and nobody is chatting. Really – it makes very little sense to have chat on a blog and the fact that nobody is using it on a popular site such as TechCrunch should give the 3Bubbles people some headaches. Blogs have a chat feature – it’s [...]
