NYT Under $1000 Laptop Round-up

The New York Times today features a good round-up of notebooks under $1000. Nothing spectacular here, but this might be a good read for those looking for some affordable portability. I am still amazed by the fact that the avarage laptop sold now only costs $980.
One thing that isn’t pointed out strongly enough (though it is mentioned briefly) is that a lot of brands make online coupons available that can often save one 30% or more. Notebookforums.com is a good resource for those.
