First Google Widgets Appearing

Some of the first widgets are appearing for the Google personalized homepage. This function was announced just last week.

I received a note from Dennis Cafiero that he has written a comparison shopping widget.

This is not in Google’s widget directory yet. Actually, there is nothing new in that directory as of yet. Is anybody aware of any other widgets no listed there?

    Nothing submitted has been posted yet.

    I assume they were simply slammed with submissions and are now undertaking damage control and shuffling more people into the queue to check them and look for duplicates, etc.

    I can’t really think of any other reason as to why the delay exists.
