Update: Walmart Laptop will be on sale for $378 from 5-11am

Update 11/22 - 6pm: Just received word from one of my readers - she checked with the local Walmart. I will just copy the email:

Just got back from my local Walmart. They tell me the $378 price will only be honored for the specific locations where the circular was sent out with that price—and online doesn’t count. That makes the price $488 for my area. Check your local print ads. There just might be a Walmart near you that advertised the laptop at $378 and if there is, I advise taking a copy of the circular along with you on Black Friday!

So the advice is: get a hard copy of the circular with the $378 price if you want your ze2308wm laptop!

Update 11/22: There seems to be some confusion about the price of the laptop these days. I am getting reports of $488 from some, while the Walmart site has a circular announcing it for $378. The two circulars can be found here. The large circular on the right shows $488 on page three, and the little one in the middle has the $378 price clearly visible here.

Just received the WALMART sale paper for November 25th. HP Pavillion ze2308wm computer listed at $488.00. Sempron mobile 2800+ 1.6Ghz

I will try to verify this information.

I received another note from Jeff with the specifiactions for the ze2308wm:

AMD mobile Sempron 2800+ processor, 1.6 Ghz. 256 MB DDR SDRAM memeory. 40GB harddrive. CD-RW/DVD-rom combo drive. 54G 802.11 b/g wireless LAN. 15 inch TFTXGA screen. Limit one per customer and no rebate necessary. Carry bag available for 9.88. Sell starts at 5AM and ends at 11AM. Looks like we will be getting up early.

    ah, one more thing to be thankful for!

    Decided to run out to walmart one last time before the 5am sale and there was a just-opened box of black and white photocopied flyers featuring the $378 price on the laptop — I verified with the CSM and the electronics dept. and they *will* be honoring the $378 price. Electronics dept. said there’s been a lot of inquiries regarding the two different prices and that it was up to the manager of each store which price will be honored.
