For Those Interested in the Walmart Laptop

Update 11/22 - 6pm: Just received word from one of my readers - she checked with the local Walmart. I will just copy the email:

Just got back from my local Walmart. They tell me the $378 price will only be honored for the specific locations where the circular was sent out with that price—and online doesn’t count. That makes the price $488 for my area. Check your local print ads. There just might be a Walmart near you that advertised the laptop at $378 and if there is, I advise taking a copy of the circular along with you on Black Friday!

So the advice is: get a hard copy of the circular with the $378 price if you want your ze2308wm laptop!

Update 11/22 - 11am: There seems to be some confusion about the price of the laptop these days. I was getting reports of $488 from some, while the Walmart site has two circulars announcing it for $378 as well as for $488. The two circulars can be found here.  The large circular on the left shows $488 on page three, and the little one in the middle has the $378 price clearly visible here.

Once we get closer to Thanksgiving, I will post updates as they become available. Definitely looks like it will be quite a bargain. Especially for those who are able to add some RAM themselves (256mb is definitely not enough for a modern machine, especially given that the processor is pretty fast, but will be held back by the small amount of memory).

    I see the same deals in 2 separate online circulars. One has the ze2308wm listed for $488 and the other for $378, both for Friday from 5-11am…Wonder which price will be honored..?
