Pew Online Study
November 3, 2005 |
Pew Internet did a study on teenagers and content creation. Something doesn’t smell right, though. They seem to group weird things together. I would say that putting pictures online is not the same as content creation such as writing stories. Of course everybody puts pictures online these days. Big deal. That doesn’t mean the kids are writing interesting stuff online. Also, how do they define remixing content? Cropping pictures? Doing mash-ups?
The blogosphere is running with it, though. I will look into this and write some more about it later this afternoon. The results just smells fishy to me.
