My home airport tends to see a lot of people who get arrested while smuggling drugs into Europe. Usually, they are already living a sad existence before they get there. Now a fire broke out in a prison on the airport.

Schiphol is the main airhub of the Netherlands. At least 10 people have died, and 15 are injured and in hospital, after a fire set buildings ablaze at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.The blaze broke out soon after midnight in a detention centre at the airport, which police said houses mainly suspected drugs traffickers.The Dutch news agency ANP reported that it was not contained for several hours, and said the death toll could rise.
